Welcome to my music page. As mentioned elsewhere on this site, my path as a songwriter and recording artist has been an essential part of my journey, and I'm happy to share here some of the music I've created over the years. Below, you'll find recent releases; selected tracks from two of my previous releases, Four-Letter Words (2012) and All or Nothing (2008), followed by album credits and details; music videos for the singles “Uncomfortable,” “Liberate Your Love,” and “Hiding So Long”; and press kit materials (a brief music bio and some kind words from reviewers). Currently, I'm working on some new acoustic tracks. Please use the links below to stream or download songs and to view lyrics. Thank you for listening!
Brief Music Bio
Songwriter, contemplative, quest guide, and psychotherapist Simon Spire sounds the murmuring depths of the soul through songs that traverse the ground between layered alt-pop and singer-songwriter introspection. A three-time award-winner in the USA Songwriting Competition, Spire has been featured on MTV, NBC, AOL, NPR stations, Voice of America, and radio stations throughout the U.S., while also featuring in the New Zealand Top 40 radio airplay charts. Having left his beloved New Zealand homeland for the alluring horizons of Los Angeles, followed by the seismic creative vortex that is New York City, he now finds himself living atop a wooded and humble ancient mountain in North Carolina where he writes, guides, communes with owls, dodges snakes, and misses the ocean.
